About Dr. Woo
Dr. Woo graduated with honors from the Southern California College of Optometry. She then completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Dr. Woo is a past president of the Scleral Lens Education Society

“I have keratoconus in both eyes. This was intimidating for me since my right eye is the weaker one and it would be my primary eye to rely on while recovering from surgery. I was recommended to see Dr. Woo and I’m so glad I followed through on the recommendation!
In the past, I’ve tried scleral lenses on without promising results. My last optometrist told me I’m one of the few candidates that won’t benefit from scleral lenses. To have that told to you is absolutely devastating especially when you’ve had blurry vision for a long time and want to see just like everyone else. I wanted to get a second opinion.
Dr. Woo gave me hope again. When I came into her office, I was instantly welcomed and made right at home. She and her co-worker Britt treated me like a close friend.
I was nervous about trying on lenses. I have had a lot of trouble with having anything put in my eye. In the past, I had a nurse once threaten to knock me out when my eyes were first dilated and an optometrist was also flustered with me. It took forty minutes for the optometrist to get the lenses in my eyes and this was embarrassing for me. My poor wife has spent hours trying to help me put in scleral lenses. Dr. Woo was able to put the lenses in under thirty seconds. That says a lot about Dr. Woo’s skills as I know I’m not easy and I’ve been trying to work on my sensitive eyes for awhile. I was even more shocked when it was found that with the lenses I had near perfect vision in my right eye. I cannot tell you how empowering that was for me. To be told one day you will never have good vision and the next being told you will have near perfect with the right resources is one of the happiest experiences of my life.
